A Huge Sustainable City and the Master Plan for Western Sydney’s CBD

A new city will be developed in connection with Western Sydney International Airport, which will feature 10,000 new homes and over 36 hectares of public open space, including a large central park inspired by New York City. Spearheaded by the Bradfield Development Authority (formerly the Western Parkland City Authority), the Bradfield City Centre Masterplan outlines more than 2 million square metres of mixed-use space, incorporating retail outlets and cafes, plus affordable housing, all linked to the Sydney Metro.

Bradfield City is designed to be an eco-friendly, sustainable hub, with plans for 80% of rooftops to incorporate bio-solar panels or rooftop gardens. A standout feature will be a stunning outdoor swimming pool naturally integrated into Moore Gully, and a large events space along Thompson Creek for concerts and community gatherings. The development is expected to create 20,000 jobs, with the goal to create a vibrant, global city that will operate 24/7, driving advancements in industry while becoming a central hub for arts, culture, and entertainment.
